Los Cabos brings together two contrasting coastlines and an array of resorts that redefine the all-inclusive experience. Travel Advisors Megan Amelio of Marvelous Mouse Travels and Dana Lewis of Endless Destinations Travel unpack a full lineup of hotels from Hyatt Ziva and Dreams to Grand Fiesta Americana, Live Aqua, Hard Rock, Nobu, Grand Velas, and the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal. Together, they compare what sets each property apart, from authentic hacienda style and swimmable beaches to sophisticated design and family dynamics. They reveal how to distinguish vibe, client fit, and value across this dense hotel market. Travel Advisors will walk away with clear frameworks for pairing travelers to the right Los Cabos stay, from relaxed luxury to full-throttle energy.

Key Takeaways

  • Compare and contrast Los Cabos all-inclusives by vibe, not just brand, from party-forward Hard Rock to the serene Grand Velas Boutique

  • Which hotels to book for families who want “family-friendly” but not “kids-centric,” and why that distinction matters

  • How to position properties with authentic sense of place (Dreams, Grand Fiesta Americana) against modern, placeless options (Hyatt Ziva)

  • When to guide clients toward EP hotels like Hilton Los Cabos or Waldorf Astoria instead of all-inclusives, comfort with dining off-property is key

  • How to match travelers expectations for luxury and energy, from Nobu’s polished minimalism to Waldorf’s warm exclusivity

Undiscovered Sunsets was a long time in the making, even if I myself didn’t realize it. During my time at the University of Northern Iowa, I studied abroad in New Zealand. Upon graduating, I bought a one-way ticket to France, lived with a French family and studied with classmates from Turkey, China, Russia, Germany, Italy, and everywhere in between. In 2010 I began teaching English as a foreign language. This job quickly took me to China, where English teachers were in high demand and within three years, I began working in a 5-star hotel, speaking Mandarin throughout most of my day. In total, I lived abroad for 7 years.

I consider Undiscovered Sunsets to be the perfect mélange of my personal experience traveling the world and my professional experience working in the hospitality industry.

I look forward to designing your next adventure!
